It means that the process of earning money did not intervene into the studying. So, now I can guess what you are thinking about. Remarkably, the situation with students is pretty clear, meaning the fat that all students are overload with their college debts and fees that tend to be printed by “someone” regularly each month. If the student foresees that his or her future work will not provide them full-pay of the credit, he or she starts paying it being the student.
